观测帧的时间索引为$t \in \{-T_{obs}, \ldots, 0\}$，未来帧的时间索引为$t \in \{1, \ldots, T_{fut}\}$。

 $$ \mathcal{X}=\big\{I_{-T_{\mathrm{o b s}}:0},\mathrm{\bf~P}_{-T_{\mathrm{o b s}}:0},c\big\}, $$

其中$I_t$表示时刻t的RGB帧，$\mathbf{P}_{-T_{\mathrm{obs}}:0} \in \mathbb{R}^{(T_{\mathrm{obs}}+1) \times J \times 3}$表示过去的手部运动，包含$\mathbf{P}_t = (\mathbf{p}_{1,t}, \ldots, \mathbf{p}_{J,t})$和$\mathbf{p}_{j,t} \in \mathbb{R}^3$，c则为对场景的文字描述。

 $$ \begin{array}{r}{Y=\mathbf{P}_{1:T_{\mathrm{f u t}}}\in\mathbb{R}^{T_{\mathrm{f u t}}\times J\times3},\quad\mathbf{P}_{t}=\big(\mathbf{p}_{1,t},\ldots,\mathbf{p}_{J,t}\big).}\end{array} $$

 $$ I_{-T_{\mathrm{o b s}}:0}\in\mathbb{R}^{B\times C\times T_{v}\times H\times W}, $$

 $$ V=f_{v}\bigl(I_{-T_{\mathrm{o b s}}:0}\bigr)\in\mathbb{R}^{B\times L_{\mathrm{r a w}}\times D_{v}}. $$

 $$ T=f_{t}(c)\in\mathbb{R}^{B\times L_{t}\times D_{t}}. $$

 $$ \tilde{V}=V W_{v}+b_{v},\quad\tilde{T}=T W_{t}+b_{t}, $$

其中$W_v \in \mathbb{R}^{D_v \times D}$和$W_t \in \mathbb{R}^{D_t \times D}$。

 $$ \begin{array}{r}{\hat{V}=\tilde{V}+E_{L_{v}}^{(\mathrm{t i m e})},\qquad\hat{T}=\tilde{T}+E_{L_{t}}^{(\mathrm{p o s})}.}\end{array} $$

 $$ C=\mathrm{C o n c a t}(\hat{V},\hat{T})\in\mathbb{R}^{B\times(L_{v}+L_{t})\times D}. $$

 $$ S=f_{s}(\mathbf{P}_{-T_{\mathrm{o b s}}:0})W_{s}+b_{s}\in\mathbb{R}^{B\times(T_{\mathrm{o b s}}+1)\times D_{s}}. $$

 $$ Z=\operatorname{C r o s s A t t e n t i o n E n c o d e r}(S,C), $$

 $$ \hat{\mathbf{P}}_{1:T_{\mathrm{f u t}}}=g_{\theta}(Z). $$

 $$ \mathcal{L}_{\mathrm{t o t a l}}=\lambda_{\mathrm{a b s}}\mathcal{L}_{\mathrm{a b s}}+\lambda_{\mathrm{r e l}}\mathcal{L}_{\mathrm{r e l}}+\lambda_{\mathrm{p a i r}}\mathcal{L}_{\mathrm{p a i r}}, $$

 $$ \mathcal{L}_{\mathrm{a b s}}=\frac{1}{T J}\sum_{t=1}^{T}\sum_{j=1}^{J}\left\|\hat{\mathbf{p}}_{j,t}-\mathbf{p}_{j,t}\right\|_{1}. $$

 $$ \mathcal{L}_{\mathrm{r e l}}=\frac{1}{T J}\sum_{t=1}^{T}\sum_{j\in\mathcal{J}_{\mathrm{h a n d}}}\Big\|\left(\hat{\mathbf{p}}_{j,t}-\hat{\mathbf{p}}_{\mathrm{w r i s t},t}\right)-\left(\mathbf{p}_{j,t}-\mathbf{p}_{\mathrm{w r i s t},t}\right)\Big\|_{1}. $$

 $$ \mathcal{L}_{\mathrm{p a i r}}=\frac{1}{T|\mathcal{S}|}\sum_{t=1}^{T}\sum_{(i,j)\in\mathcal{S}}\left(\|\hat{\mathbf{p}}_{i,t}-\hat{\mathbf{p}}_{j,t}\|_{2}-\|\mathbf{p}_{i,t}-\mathbf{p}_{j,t}\|_{2}\right)^{2}, $$

distance loss $\mathcal{L}_{pair}$ or the relative-coordinate loss $\mathcal{L}_{rel}$ consistently improves over the $\mathcal{L}_{abs}$-only baseline, with $\mathcal{L}_{rel}$ yielding the largest gains. This indicates that encoding inter-joint relationships provides complementary supervision to absolute coordinates, helping the model capture the articulated structure of the hand.

<div style="text-align: center;">Figure 4. Qualitative ablation on multimodal inputs. EggHand forecasts on a COVID-19 test kit manipulation sequence under four conditions: All Modality, Clean Vision + Dummy Text, Noisy Vision + Clean Text, and Noisy Vision + Dummy Text. Dummy text is randomized from the EgoExo4D task vocabulary; noisy vision replaces frames with Gaussian noise. Green: ground truth; red: predictions.</div>
