对于分别对应头部、左控制器和右控制器的每个设备$i \in \{H, C_L, C_R\}$，我们提取其全局3D位置$\mathbf{p}_t^i \in \mathbb{R}^3$、6D朝向$\boldsymbol{\theta}_t^i \in \mathbb{R}^6$、线速度$\mathbf{v}_t^i \in \mathbb{R}^3$以及6D角速度$\boldsymbol{\omega}_t^i \in \mathbb{R}^6$。这些分量会被拼接成全局运动描述符$\mathbf{g}_t^i = [\mathbf{p}_t^i, \boldsymbol{\theta}_t^i, \mathbf{v}_t^i, \boldsymbol{\omega}_t^i] \in \mathbb{R}^{18}$。

---

$c \in \{C_L, C_R\}$，我们通过将控制器姿态转换到头戴式显示器的坐标系下，来定义其相对于头部的位置$\tilde{\mathbf{p}}_t^c \in \mathbb{R}^3$和6D旋转$\tilde{\boldsymbol{\theta}}_t^c \in \mathbb{R}^6$。这些特征会被拼接成局部运动描述符$\mathbf{r}_t^c = [\tilde{\mathbf{p}}_t^c, \tilde{\boldsymbol{\theta}}_t^c] \in \mathbb{R}^9$。

 $$ \mathbf{x}_{t}=\left[\mathbf{g}_{t}^{H},\ \mathbf{g}_{t}^{C_{L}},\ \mathbf{g}_{t}^{C_{R}},\ \mathbf{r}_{t}^{C_{L}},\ \mathbf{r}_{t}^{C_{R}}\right]\in\mathbb{R}^{72}. $$

为了充分利用头戴式显示器运动和RGB-D图像数据的时间连续性，我们构建了一个包含T个连续帧的预设窗口，该窗口以时间t为终点，即$\mathbf{X} = [\mathbf{x}_{t-T+1}, \ldots, \mathbf{x}_t] \in \mathbb{R}^{T \times 72}$、$\mathbf{Y} = [\mathbf{y}_{t-T+1}, \ldots, \mathbf{y}_t] \in \mathbb{R}^{T \times C \times H \times W}$。

 $$ I_{t-T+1:t}=\{\mathbf{X},\mathbf{Y}\}. $$

 $$ \mathbf{M}_{t}=\mathcal{T}_{j}\left(\mathbf{F}\left(\left[\mathcal{T}_{f}\left(E_{l}(\mathbf{X})\right)\right]_{t}\right)+\mathbf{e}_{j}\right). $$

 $$ \mathbf{N}_{t}=\mathcal{T}_{j}\left(\mathbf{F}\left(\left[\mathcal{T}_{f}\left(E_{l}(\tilde{\mathbf{Z}})\right)\right]_{t}\right)+\mathbf{e}_{j}\right). $$

 $$ \mathbf{P}_{t}=\mathcal{F}\left(\mathrm{F K}\left(\mathcal{T}_{g}(\tilde{\mathbf{M}}_{t}),\mathcal{T}_{l}(\tilde{\mathbf{M}}_{t})\right)\right). $$

 $$ E_{\mathrm{A}}=\sum_{k\in O}\lambda_{a}\left\|\mathbf{p}_{k}-\mathbf{q}_{k}\right\|^{2}+\sum_{k\notin O}\lambda_{s}\left\|\mathbf{p}_{k}-\tilde{\mathbf{p}}_{k}\right\|^{2}. $$

 $$ E_{\mathrm{S}}=\sum_{i}\sum_{j\in\mathcal{M}(i)}\left[\lambda_{l}\left\|\ell(\mathbf{J}_{i j})-\ell(\mathbf{\tilde{J}}_{i j})\right\|^{2}+\lambda_{d}\left\|\mathbf{J}_{i j}-\mathbf{\tilde{J}}_{i j}\right\|^{2}\right], $$

![Image](images/ef665b8e3658a37e0af5ada219537dcdefb9b624e26fd5b063fae1bd9886ddda.jpg)

<div style="text-align: center;">Fig. 5: System architecture illustrating cross-device data transmission for real-time SMPL pose estimation and visualization.</div>

<table border=1 style='margin: auto; word-wrap: break-word;'><tr><td style='text-align: center; word-wrap: break-word;'>Method</td><td style='text-align: center; word-wrap: break-word;'>MPJPE $\downarrow$</td><td style='text-align: center; word-wrap: break-word;'>PA-MPJPE $\downarrow$</td><td style='text-align: center; word-wrap: break-word;'>MPJRE $\downarrow$</td><td style='text-align: center; word-wrap: break-word;'>FPS $\uparrow$</td></tr><tr><td style='text-align: center; word-wrap: break-word;'>HMD Only</td><td style='text-align: center; word-wrap: break-word;'>6.26 $\pm$ 4.03</td><td style='text-align: center; word-wrap: break-word;'>4.85 $\pm$ 3.05</td><td style='text-align: center; word-wrap: break-word;'>9.26 $\pm$ 3.85</td><td style='text-align: center; word-wrap: break-word;'>212 $\pm$ 6</td></tr><tr><td style='text-align: center; word-wrap: break-word;'>HMD + RGB (S)</td><td style='text-align: center; word-wrap: break-word;'>4.42 $\pm$ 3.47</td><td style='text-align: center; word-wrap: break-word;'>3.37 $\pm$ 2.57</td><td style='text-align: center; word-wrap: break-word;'>8.12 $\pm$ 3.82</td><td style='text-align: center; word-wrap: break-word;'>158 $\pm$ 8</td></tr><tr><td style='text-align: center; word-wrap: break-word;'>HMD + RGB (M)</td><td style='text-align: center; word-wrap: break-word;'>4.25 $\pm$ 3.28</td><td style='text-align: center; word-wrap: break-word;'>3.22 $\pm$ 2.47</td><td style='text-align: center; word-wrap: break-word;'>7.90 $\pm$ 3.68</td><td style='text-align: center; word-wrap: break-word;'>155 $\pm$ 6</td></tr><tr><td style='text-align: center; word-wrap: break-word;'>HMD + RGB-D (M)</td><td style='text-align: center; word-wrap: break-word;'>3.95 $\pm$ 3.05</td><td style='text-align: center; word-wrap: break-word;'>2.96 $\pm$ 2.21</td><td style='text-align: center; word-wrap: break-word;'>7.61 $\pm$ 3.51</td><td style='text-align: center; word-wrap: break-word;'>154 $\pm$ 7</td></tr><tr><td style='text-align: center; word-wrap: break-word;'>+ KPO (Full System)</td><td style='text-align: center; word-wrap: break-word;'>2.92 $\pm$ 2.16</td><td style='text-align: center; word-wrap: break-word;'>2.70 $\pm$ 2.17</td><td style='text-align: center; word-wrap: break-word;'>7.61 $\pm$ 3.51</td><td style='text-align: center; word-wrap: break-word;'>97 $\pm$ 6</td></tr><tr><td style='text-align: center; word-wrap: break-word;'>- Cross-Modal Fusion</td><td style='text-align: center; word-wrap: break-word;'>4.08 $\pm$ 3.03</td><td style='text-align: center; word-wrap: break-word;'>3.10 $\pm$ 2.19</td><td style='text-align: center; word-wrap: break-word;'>7.65 $\pm$ 3.62</td><td style='text-align: center; word-wrap: break-word;'>156 $\pm$ 5</td></tr><tr><td style='text-align: center; word-wrap: break-word;'>- Spatiotemporal Encoder</td><td style='text-align: center; word-wrap: break-word;'>6.42 $\pm$ 4.19</td><td style='text-align: center; word-wrap: break-word;'>5.35 $\pm$ 3.28</td><td style='text-align: center; word-wrap: break-word;'>14.29 $\pm$ 5.07</td><td style='text-align: center; word-wrap: break-word;'>189 $\pm$ 6</td></tr></table>

<div style="text-align: center;">Table 4: Post-session questionnaire used for the subjective evaluation of different methods.</div>

<table border=1 style='margin: auto; word-wrap: break-word;'><tr><td style='text-align: center; word-wrap: break-word;'>Question</td><td style='text-align: center; word-wrap: break-word;'>Description</td></tr><tr><td style='text-align: center; word-wrap: break-word;'>Q1</td><td style='text-align: center; word-wrap: break-word;'>The avatar&#x27;s upper body movements accurately reflected my real-world movements.</td></tr><tr><td style='text-align: center; word-wrap: break-word;'>Q2</td><td style='text-align: center; word-wrap: break-word;'>The avatar&#x27;s lower body movements accurately reflected my real-world movements.</td></tr><tr><td style='text-align: center; word-wrap: break-word;'>Q3</td><td style='text-align: center; word-wrap: break-word;'>The avatar&#x27;s movements were synchronized (real-time) with my actions in real time.</td></tr><tr><td style='text-align: center; word-wrap: break-word;'>Q4</td><td style='text-align: center; word-wrap: break-word;'>The avatar&#x27;s motion appeared stable and free of noticeable jittering.</td></tr><tr><td style='text-align: center; word-wrap: break-word;'>Q5</td><td style='text-align: center; word-wrap: break-word;'>I felt that the avatar&#x27;s body was a natural extension of my own body.</td></tr><tr><td style='text-align: center; word-wrap: break-word;'>Q6</td><td style='text-align: center; word-wrap: break-word;'>I would prefer to use this pose estimation method and its associated device in future VR applications.</td></tr></table>

<div style="text-align: center;">Fig. 9: Statistical analysis of the user study. The box represents the interquartile range (IQR), the central line indicates the median. Outliers are shown as individual points. (n.s.): no statistical significance, (*): p ≤ 0.05, (**): p ≤ 0.01, (***)): p ≤ 0.001.</div>
