 $$ V=\mathcal{S}(\mathcal{M}(\gamma,\beta))+D, $$

 $$ \mathcal{S}:\mathbb{R}^{778\times3}\to\mathbb{R}^{3093\times3}, $$

<div style="text-align: center;">Figure 2. Method Overview. Given a short monocular RGB video of a hand, our hand avatar creation method includes two steps: (1) coarse hand pose and shape estimation for initialization; (2) an optimization framework to reconstruct the personalized hand geometry and appearance. The hand geometry is first rasterized and combined with a normal map. Then, the shader combines the albedo, geometry, and lighting to render the personalized hand. The optimization solves the hand and scene parameters using only the input images.</div>

 $$ \begin{array}{r l}{I_{x}}&{=k_{a}i_{a}+\displaystyle\sum_{m\in\mathrm{l i g h t s}}k_{d}i_{m,d}(\hat{L}_{m}\cdot\hat{N})}\end{array} $$

为了应对这种情况，我们在漫反射分量中加入了关于光线m在点x处的可见性项 $V(x, m)$，使其变为 $k_d(\tilde{L}_m \cdot \tilde{N})V(x, m)i_{m,d}$。

```pseudo
// Algorithm 1: Visibility $V(x, m)$ from light m
1: Place virtual camera $cam_{m}$ at light m pointing at hand
2: Compute z-buffer $Z_{m}(\cdot)$ from $cam_{m}$
3: Get 3D points $\{X_{hit}\}$ seen from the actual camera
4: for $x \in X_{hit}$ do
5:     transform x to $cam_{m}$ coordinate
```

```text
    $x^{m} = T_{m}(x)$
```

        $d_{m \to x} = ||x - m||$
8: $V(x, m) = \text{Sigmoid}(s(Z_{m}(x^{2d}) - d_{m \to x} + b))$

 $$ \begin{array}{r l}{E}&{{}=E_{g e o}+E_{a p p},}\end{array} $$

 $$ \begin{array}{r l}{E_{g e o}}&{{}=w_{s i l}\cdot E_{s i l}+E_{r e g},}\end{array} $$

 $$ E_{{s i l}}=|S_{{i n}}-S_{{r e n d e r}}|, $$

 $$ \begin{array}{r l}{E_{r e g}}&{{}=E_{i n i t}+E_{v e r t s}+E_{l a p}+E_{n o r m}+E_{a r a p},}\end{array} $$

 $$ \begin{array}{r l}{E_{a r a p}}&{=\sum_{v}^{V}\sum_{u\in\mathcal{N}(v)}\|\|v_{t}-u_{t}\|-\|v^{*}-u^{*}\|\|^{2},}\end{array} $$

 $$ \begin{array}{r l}{E_{a p p}}&{{}=w_{p h o t o}\cdot E_{p h o t o}+w_{v g g}\cdot E_{v g g}+E_{a p p\_{r} e g}}\end{array} $$

<div style="text-align: center;">Figure 3. Sample images. (left) Each subject in the hand appearance dataset. (right) The synthetic dataset. The hand segmentation is obtained using an off-the-shelf segmentation tool [^24].</div>

##### A. 数据集

InterHand2.6M数据集[^49]。

Neural Head Avatar [^19]。

---

![Image](images/d01a1ff2633d641b772e9c8c661817a50e5c440d9255f95a3bc381fba187a7a0.jpg)

<div style="text-align: center;">Figure C.1. Template Meshes.</div>

 $$ E=\sum_{v}^{V}\left\|v_{t}-v_{p}\right\|^{2} $$

 $$ where V_{t}=\mathcal{M}(\gamma,\beta) $$

 $$ E_{{a p p\_{r} e g}}=E_{t\_{r} e g}+E_{n\_{r} e g}, $$

 $$ E_{t\_{r} e g}=\sum_{I}\frac{1}{3}\left\|\mathcal{T}(I)-\mathcal{T}(I+\epsilon_{1})\right\|_{1}, $$

 $$ E_{n\_{r} e g}=\sum_{I}\frac{1}{3}(\|\mathcal{G}(I)-\mathcal{G}(I+\epsilon_{2})\|_{1}+\|\mathcal{G}(I)-u_{z}\|_{2}^{2}), $$

<table border=1 style='margin: auto; word-wrap: break-word;'><tr><td style='text-align: center; word-wrap: break-word;'>$E_{sil}$</td><td style='text-align: center; word-wrap: break-word;'>7.0</td></tr><tr><td style='text-align: center; word-wrap: break-word;'>$E_{init}$</td><td style='text-align: center; word-wrap: break-word;'>10.0</td></tr><tr><td style='text-align: center; word-wrap: break-word;'>$E_{verts}$</td><td style='text-align: center; word-wrap: break-word;'>2.0</td></tr><tr><td style='text-align: center; word-wrap: break-word;'>$E_{lap}$</td><td style='text-align: center; word-wrap: break-word;'>4.0</td></tr><tr><td style='text-align: center; word-wrap: break-word;'>$E_{norm}$</td><td style='text-align: center; word-wrap: break-word;'>0.1</td></tr><tr><td style='text-align: center; word-wrap: break-word;'>$E_{arap}$</td><td style='text-align: center; word-wrap: break-word;'>0.2</td></tr><tr><td style='text-align: center; word-wrap: break-word;'>$E_{photo}$</td><td style='text-align: center; word-wrap: break-word;'>1.0</td></tr><tr><td style='text-align: center; word-wrap: break-word;'>$E_{vgg}$</td><td style='text-align: center; word-wrap: break-word;'>1.0</td></tr><tr><td style='text-align: center; word-wrap: break-word;'>$E_{t_reg}$</td><td style='text-align: center; word-wrap: break-word;'>2.0</td></tr><tr><td style='text-align: center; word-wrap: break-word;'>$E_{n_reg}$</td><td style='text-align: center; word-wrap: break-word;'>0.5</td></tr></table>

<div style="text-align: center;">Table C.1. Weights for each energy term.</div>

<div style="text-align: center;">Figure E.2. Failure cases and limitations. (a) With limited pixel information, the geometry could deform in an undesirable way as it uses mainly the silhouette for supervision. (b) HARP pose optimization is sensitive to initialization and could stuck in local minima when the initialization and foreground mask do not align. In this case, a large immediate increase in silhouette loss will prevent the optimizer from leaving the minima.</div>
